Introducing Virginia Square
The Virginia Square neighborhood centers on the Virginia Square-GMU metro station and contains high rise apartments, garden apartments, and single family homes.
In addition to the residences, there are numerous excellent dining and shopping options. An up-and-coming Arlington VA spot, you can expect a great selection of leisure and entertainment options.
Additionally, several major government, NGO, and corporate organizations are headquartered here. Even considering the bustling economy, it remains still a fairly homey slice of the greater DC region, home to quiet parks and shady little streets.
Virginia Square History
Our Virginia Square apartments may be new and renovated buildings, but this slice of Arlington VA has its history.
Like its neighbor, Ballston, it has a long been a growing hub of commercial development, starting as a major outer-Washington area in the late 18th century. Many of the single-family homes were built in the 1940s by returning World War II veterans.
Economy & Employment in Virginia Square
The economy of the Virginia Square community is growing as quickly as any in the DC metro area.
Located in this neighborhood is the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the Arlington VA campuses of George Mason University (GMU) and George Washington University (GW), and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
Along with these major employers is the state-of-the-art Arlington central library.
Virginia Square Shopping & Dining
Just as vibrant as the economy is the entertainment, shopping, and dining all a short walk from any of our Virginia Square apartments.
There is the large Virginia Square Shopping center with groceries, restaurants, gift shops, and boutique fashion. Like much of northern Virginia, you can find a huge variety of ethnic and regional cuisines in this neighborhood.
From Thai to Ethiopian, classic American to Italian, you will never be without something new, fresh, and delicious.
Transportation In & Around Virginia Square Apartments
The transportation in and around these Virginia Square apartments is about the best you can find in northern Virginia.
The Virginia Square-GMU metro station is at the heart of the community, and can lead you directly into the middle of DC, or to Metrobus and ART bus stations.
From the metro you can make it to both the train station and the airport, making all your travel simple and inexpensive.
